For many of us, our pets are just as much a
part of our family as our parents and children. The following
layout was designed to showcase your family cat, but can of
course, the basic design principles can be adopted to any other
animal or theme. |
|
This layout was created using Carolee's
leather patches paper for the background (the rectangular shapes
are printed on the paper), Sonnets peach wash paper for the side
border, Suzy's Zoo Cat
with Kittens stickers, yellow
Bazzill cardstock, pop dots and Rust
Flash Fibre. |
|
Begin by tearing a strip of peach wash paper
and adhere to your background paper to create the side border.
Next we are going to create the tags. |
|
|
Cut the tags from your
Bazzill cardstock. Next, tear another strip of
your peach wash paper (like your border strip,
only narrower) so the long edge of the strip has
a torn edge across the top and bottom. Divide
this strip into three for use across the middle
of your tags. |
|
I recommend placing the strip
at different angles on each tag. On the top tag,
I angled it downwards slightly, on the middle
tag I placed almost straight across and on the
bottom tag, I angled it down slightly. This just
helps to add a little more interest to the
design. |
|
|
|
My tip when placing the paper across your tag is
to let it overhang while you decide on your angles. You can
always trim it after it has been adhered.
|
|
Next, adhere your kitty stickers and kitty toy
stickers. I used pop dots on the toy stickers to give a little
dimension. Finally, thread your fibre through the hole and your
tags are done |
|
All that is left to do now is to arrange your
tags down the side border and place your kitty cat stickers in
the bottom right corner (again, I used a pop dot to adhere the
fish sticker). |
|
This is a relatively simple but effective
layout that scrappers at all levels can achieve. More
experienced scrappers may choose to dress up the tags a little
more with a collage effect or the use of further embellishments. |
