The Daily Sketches provided here at Stickers
'N' Fun provide you with an endless stream of ideas to adapt to
any scrapbooking page. This article shows you how to take one of
these sketches and create a layout from it. |
|
|
To recreate this layout, follow the
sketch. Use the darker shade of pink Bazzil cardstock
for your background. As indicated by the sketch, the
next layer is situated towards the top right-hand corner
and is about 6-7 inches tall and 11 inches wide. Cut
this from your light pink cardstock and adhere. |
|
|
|
The next layer is a piece of pink
patterned paper measuring approximately 8 1/2 by 11
inches. Cut and adhere along the bottom edge about 1cm
away from the bottom right-hand corner. You have now
created your background. |

|
Next, mat your photo and position on
your page. I used the light pink cardstock for this
layer. Depending on your photo, you may also wish to use
a white mat to create a double mat. You can use the
second rectangle for anything you like - embellishments,
journaling etc. I chose to use it for a title. |
|
|
To create your title, cut a piece of light
pink Bazzil cardstock. Use your Provocraft Parlor White
Alphabet stickers to 'write' your title on the cardstock. I
found the black lines on these stickers were a little heavy for
my page, so I placed two stripes of white vellum on top and
traced the black outlines with pink pen. I now have a pink
outline title with white fill coming through the vellum. Perfect
for my pink page! |
|
|
For the final step, place a pink
ribbon down the left hand side of your page. Instead of
placing a rectangle in the bottom left-hand corner, I
placed a Precious Moments Ballerina sticker. I
also added a rose and music notes sticker as a finishing
touch. |
