The birth of baby girl brings so much joy
into our lives but it is sometimes difficult to convey these
emotions successfully in a layout. This double-page layout is
designed to showcase those precious moments with your baby girl
and the love you share. |
|
This layout was created using pink Sonnets
patterned paper for the background, Karen Foster My Baby Girl
stickers, pink and purple cardstock for the photo mats,
scraps of pink, purple, green, yellow and white papers for the
'cushions' along the bottom of the page, pastel fibre and Sonnets
Alphadots Strawberry Embossed for the title. |
|
To recreate this layout, begin by placing
your Karen Foster border stickers down the sides. I placed mine
on cardstock and cut it out before adhering it to the background
paper. This adds a little depth but is not necessary. I then
placed the square stickers on white cardstock and cut them out
leaving a thin white frame around theme. I used these as the
basis for my 'pile of cushions effect' across the bottom of the
page. To complete this effect tear different sized squares from
your scraps of coloured papers and cardstock and place them
haphazardly across the bottom of your page. As you do this, keep
in mind where you want to place your matted stickers. |
|
|
The next step is to matt your photo
on pink cardstock and then purple cardstock. When this
has been done, place the three dummy stickers on white
cardstock and cut them out. You will then need to punch
a small circular whole in the top and thread the fibre
through. Finally, attach the fibre to your photo matt
and secure the dummies. |
|
|
The rest of the layout is quite simple to
complete. Create two smaller photo matts with the pink and
purple cardstock for the second page and enhance them by placing
the rattle stickers in the corner. Finally, place the Sonnets
Alphadots
Strawberry Embossed across the top of the page to
create your title.

While this page was designed with a Baby Girl
layout in mind, the basic ideas can be adapted to suit any theme.
For example, you could use Karen Foster's Pressed Buttercups
or Pressed Daisies stickers to create a floral page with
the same basic layout. You could also make the square 'cushions'
along the bottom by framing practically any stickers allowing you
to adapt to any theme you like. |
