Sometimes the quickest layouts
are the most eye-catching. Beary Patch Cut-outs
are perfect for the time-pressed scrapper who
still wants to effectively embellish her page.
Here we look at how such simple embellishments,
when combined with the right papers can create
a rich and vibrant layout in a minimal amount
of time.
|
|
The secret to this layout
is the successful combination of vibrant colours.
I chose my background as the brown tones complimented
both the sepia tones in my photo and the brown
teddy bears. I also liked the subtle blue stripes
in the background as it matches the blues used
in the bears' clothing.

|
To re-create this layout,
you will need Chatterbox Sunny Plaid patterned
paper (or something similar) for the background,
cream cardstock, Beary Patch Teddy Bear 1 Cut-Outs
and Beary Patch Tea-Dyed Mini Alphabet Stickers.
|
|
Begin by cutting out the
elements from the sheet of cut-outs that you
wish to use (in this case, two teddy bears,
a title and two hearts). Next, matt your photo
on cream cardstock. If you are first cropping
your photo, be careful to leave a little extra
room at the top as your banner will be covering
some of it.
|
|
Centre your photo and arrange
your cut-out elements around it. When you are
happy with your placement, adhere them.
|
|
Use a brown pen to draw dotted
lines joining the hearts at the side of your
photo to the top banner.
|
|
Finally, use your alphabet
stickers to add your title below your photo.
