There are
so many incredible scrapbooking embellishments
available that the effects you can create with
just patterned scrapbooking papers is often
overlooked. This page was created with just
a set of three coordinating papers with just
a few simple extras.
|
|
Use the underside of the
Brown Blocks paper as the background. Ink the
edges with brown ink and set aside to dry.
|
|
Cut a strip of Brown Mosaic
paper measuring approximately 8.5cm tall. Ink
the edges with brown ink and adhere horizontally
to the page approximately 2cm from the bottom
edge.
|
|
Cut a blue strip with yellow
spots from the Graduation Stripe paper. Ink
the edges with brown ink and adhere horizontally
across your Mosaic strip, as shown in the layout
above.
|
|
Mat your photo with white
cardstock and again with the underside of the
Mosaic paper. Ink the edges with brown ink.
Make a mental note of where on the page your
photo will sit and then set it aside.
|
|
Cut two pieces of Mosaic
paper measuring approximately 6cm by 15cm. Ink
the edges with brown ink. Adhere the first at
an angle towards to top left corner of the page,
as shown in the layout above. Place your photo
on top (do not glue it down). Adhere the second
piece so that it appears tucked in behind the
right side of the photo, as shown in the layout
above.
|
|
Cut a piece from the underside
of the Graduation Stripes paper measuring approximately
6cm x 5cm. Ink the edges with brown ink. Tuck
it behind the top edge of your photo half way
between the two Mosaic pieces and adhere.
|
|
Cut two pieces of Graduation
Stripes paper measuring approximately 4cm by
5cm. Ink the edges with brown ink. Tuck them
in behind the top edge of your photo to fill
the gaps between the Mosaic paper and the blue
paper. Adhere.
|
|
Set you photo aside again
- we will come back to it shortly.
|
|
Cut a piece from the underside
of the Mosaic paper measuring approximately
6.5cm x 11cm. Add your journaling to this piece
and ink the edges with brown ink. Adhere at
an angle to the right of your page, as shown
in the layout above.
|
|
Cut a piece from the underside
of the Graduation Stripes paper measuring approximately
27.5cm x 6.5cm. Ink the edges with brown ink.
Adhere horizontally across your page approximately
6.5cm from the bottom edge, as shown in the
layout above. You will find it overlaps the
mosaic strip at the bottom of the page, and
your angled strips towards the top of the page.
|
|
Adhere your photo to the
page so that it covers most of the angled pieces
of paper and overlaps your horizontal blue strip.
|
|
Finally, add your title
across the horizontal blue strip using
NRN Designs Burgundy Brush Alphabet
stickers. And voila, you have a fantastic page
and all you needed where a set of coordinated
scrapbooking papers!
