I had a great time working with these lovely papers. The colours and patterns are very striking and bold. I hope you all like what I have come up with. This is my daughter Lily standing outside her school on her first day, a very special moment for our family, which gives me great pleasure to share as my latest Design Team Challenge.

This layout  was created using three papers from Three Bugs In A Rug Spicy Paper Pack (Cardamom Spicy Paper, Gusto Spicy Paper and Seasoned Spicy Paper), White, cream and maroon Bazzill cardstock, Dimension magic, Black and Bark Versacolor inks, 4mm & 9mm rhinestones, �Rainbow� ribbon, 6x8 inch photo with the date printed in the bottom right hand corner, Transfer titles 2 fall rub on �my first Day�, Scenic Route Beautiful Rub-Ons and Suzy�s Zoo Ollie Raising Hand stickers.

Begin by selecting and cutting out six flowers from Seasoned Spicy Paper. Stick the Ollie and lunch bag stickers to selected photos. Coat all flowers with Dimensional Magic as per product instructions and allow three hours to dry.

Make a triangle of Cardamom Spicy Paper by measuring across 29.5cm on two adjoining sides and trimming along the diagonal. Repeat using Gusto Spicy Paper. Ink the edges of both triangles with Bark ink. Adhere both triangles to white cardstock approx 5mm from the edge. 

Mount photo onto cream cardstock and then mount again onto white cardstock. Ink the edges of the white cardstock base and the photo mount with Black ink. Adhere mounted photo to base approximately 6cm from right edge and bottom edge of the page.

To make the photo corner measure 8cm across on two adjoining sides of maroon cardstock. Cut along the diagonal. Measure 1.5cm across on both side of the right angle and cut to the shape of an L. Adhere 11 rhinestones to the photo corner starting from the centre and working outwards with even spacing along both sides. Adhere embellished photo corner to top left hand corner of page approx 2mm from the edge.

Adhere 4 rhinestones to the centres of flowers.

Arrange and adhere flowers as shown in the layout above. Use magic mount on some flowers for a raised, dimensional effect. 

To create the ribbon clusters punch 2 or 3 holes in the base at the desired place. Thread 3-4 strands of ribbon approximately 10-12cm in length from the back through to the front and tie off. Try to avoid leaving the punched holes visible by adding extra ribbon or shaping clusters with larger knots. Trim the excess ribbon to the desired length.  

Apply rub-ons by placing on page and rubbing firmly but gently over the design with a paddle pop stick until the whole rub on has adhered to the page.

Adhere 2 rhinestones vertically next to the photo in the bottom right hand corner.

And finally adhere 3 rhinestones horizontally on the bottom right hand corner of the Cardamom Spicy Paper.
