I love patterned papers! There is no denying
it! I am a pattern paper junkie! I love mixing and matching, but
sometimes the most effective way to show off patterned paper is
to combine it with different colours of cardstock, as shown in
this layout. |
|
This layout was created using Urban
Lily Poppy paper, pink and purple Bazzil cardstock, dark
brown cardstock, pink ink, ribbon and small alphabet stickers. |
|
Use the pink Bazzil cardstock as your
background. Cut a piece of Urban
Lily Poppy paper
measuring approximately 21cm by 26cm (make sure you leave one of
the blooms on the remaining scraps intact). Round the top right
and bottom right corners and then adhere the sheet down the left
edge of your page, as shown in the layout above. |
|
Cut out a bloom and a collection of circles
from the remaining pieces of your Urban
Lily Poppy paper
and arrange them down the right side of your page, as shown in
the layout above. If you don't have enough circles, cut out some
extra from the pale pink background of the paper. |
|
Cut three pieces of ribbon and adhere them
across the page towards the bottom of your piece of Urban
Lily Poppy paper. |
|
Mat your photos with purple Bazzil cardstock
and arrange on your page as shown. Cut two photo corners from
dark brown cardstock and place in the top left corner and bottom
right corner of your main photo. Use small alphabet stickers to
add details (such as a date) in the corners of of your photos. |
|
Cut another circle from the scraps of your Urban
Lily Poppy paper and adhere towards the top right corner of
your main photo. Overlap it with both your photo and background
paper to provide a sense of flow between the two. |
|
Finally, cut your title from dark brown
cardstock. Ink the edges with a light coloured ink like baby
pink or white. Arrange your title in the top right section of
your page and adhere. |
