Patterned paper collections often provide
unique colour schemes and pattern combinations you might not
necessarily think of yourself. With this layout, Barbara uses
Deja Views paper to show how to make paper collections work
for you. |
|
This layout was created using Deja
Views Peaberry Paper Pack 12x12 (Four Square Peaberry Paper,
Stripe Peaberry Paper, Flower Peaberry Paper, Block Peaberry
Paper and Weathered Peaberry Paper), light blue cardstock, dark
blue cardstock, white cardstock, a dark ink (like navy blue,
brown or black), chipboard letters, rub-ons and brads. |
|
Begin with the page on the left. Use the Weathered
Peaberry Paper as your background. Cut a strip of Stripe
Peaberry Paper approximately 4cm high and ink the long
edges. Adhere across the top of the page, as shown in the layout
above. |
|
Cut a piece of Block Peaberry Paper measuring
approximately 29.5cm by 11cm and round all four corners. Ink the
edges and when dry, adhere across the middle of your page, as
shown in the layout above. |
|
Cut a strip of Stripe Peaberry Paper
approximately 5cm high and ink the long edges. Mat with a light
blue cardstock and again, ink the edges. Adhere across the
bottom of your page, as shown in the layout above. |
|
Mat your photo with light blue cardstock and
again with white cardstock. Adhere to your page, slightly
off-centre. |
|
Cut monogram letters for your title (in this
case, boys) out of the Flower Peaberry Paper and mat with
dark blue cardstock. Position across the top of your page, as
shown above, and adhere. |
|
Cut out five blocks from Block Peaberry
Paper and position as diamonds along your bottom strip of
striped paper. Place a chipboard letter inside each block to
form another section of your title (in this case, their). |
|
Finish off your left-hand page with brads and
a quote rub-on. Now it's time to move on to the right-hand page. |
|
Use the Four Sqaure Peaberry Paper as
your background. Cut a strip of Flower Peaberry Paper
measuring approximately 15cm by 7cm and ink the edges. Mat with
light blue cardstock and again, ink the edges. Adhere in the top
left corner of your page, as shown in the layout above. |
|
Mat your photo with light blue cardstock and
again with white cardstock. Adhere in the middle of your page,
slightly to the right. |
|
Cut two strips of Stripe
Peaberry
Paper measuring approximately 15cm by 2.5cm and ink the
edges. Position in the bottom left square of your page. Use
chipboard letters to add another segment of your title (in this
case, toys) between the two stripes. You may like to embellish
the first letter with Flower
Peaberry Paper. |
|
Cut three blocks from Block
Peaberry
Paper and ink the edges. Turn them so they appear as
diamonds and overlap them in a vertical line next to your photo. |
|
Cut a piece of Block
Peaberry Paper
measuring approximately 13.5cm by 10.5cm and ink the edges. Cut
a rectangular window from the bottom right of this piece and ink
the edges. Adhere to the bottom right of your page. Finish off
your title by placing chipboard letters (in this case, MG)
inside the window. |
|
Finally, finish off your page by embellishing
with brads. |
