Chatterbox patterned papers co-ordinate with
each other beautifully and are so easy to mix and match. Many of
them can also be used to create unique embellishments for
dressing-up your page while still staying within the same colour
scheme. |
|
This layout was created using papers
from the Chatterbox Nook Room collection (Nook Garden
Floral Paper, Light Nook Plaid Paper, Rosey Nook Blossoms Paper and
Nook Light Blossom
Paper), pink vellum, two pink brads, misty mauve ink and a
purple pen. |
|
Lightly ink all the way around the edges of
your Nook Garden Floral Paper with misty mauve ink. Set
aside to dry. This will be your background. |
|
Cut a piece of Light Nook Plaid Paper measuring
approximately 19cm x 28cm and lightly ink around the edges. When
dry, adhere on the right-hand side of your layout, as shown
above. |
|
Cut a piece of Rosey Nook Blossoms Paper
measuring approximately 25.5cm x 19cm and lightly ink around the edges.
When dry, adhere towards the top right of your page,
as shown above. |
|
Using your purple pen or your printer, print
your journaling on a piece of pink vellum. Attach it next to
your photo. I recommend using adhesive in the top left corner
and the bottom right corner (these corners will be covered so
you cannot see the glue) and pink brads to secure the remaining
two corners. |
|
It is now time to embellish your page with Nook
Light Blossom Paper. Select five different sized blossoms
from the paper and cut them out. I recommend using one large
blossom, two medium and two small. Arrange on your page as shown
above and adhere. |
|
Now, cut two small triangles from the
underside of the Nook Light Blossom Paper. Lightly ink
the edges and place over the top left and bottom right corners
of your photos. |
|
You have now successfully embellished your
page with elements from a patterned paper. Not only is this an
effective way to make your pages stand out, but is also a
inexpensive alternative. Now all that is left to do is create
your title. To do so, select a font from an alphabet template or
your computer. Cut out the letters from the underside of the Rosey
Nook Blossoms Paper and adhere on top of the plaid paper
background. |
