Most manufacturers design their papers in
collections to make it easy for you to match different designs
to suit your pages. In this layout I show you how four papers
from Scenic Route co-ordinate and work together to create an
effective page for your album. |
|
Use the Alpha Squares paper as your
background. Cut a rectangle of striped paper measuring approximately
26cm by 22.5 cm. Angle this piece and adhere it to the left-hand
side of your background page, as shown above. |
|
Next, cut a rectangle of your dotted paper
measuring approximately 25.5cm by 22.5 cm. Lightly ink around
the edges with brown ink and set aside to dry. |
|
Once dry, mat your photo on tan cardstock and
position in the centre of your dotted paper towards to
the top. |
|
Now take your Playing Cards Alphabet Small
paper and select a word you would like to use as your title. I
have selected Love, but you can choose from other words like
Explore, Wonder or Live. Cut out each letter tile from the paper
and lightly ink the edges with brown ink. Once they are dry,
adhere to the top left of your photo, as shown in the layout
above. |
|
Select another word from the paper (I have
used dream) and cut out a heart around this word. You may like
to draw your heart freehand or use a template for a more
symmetric result. Make sure your word is positioned towards the
top of your heart. Lightly ink around the edges with brown ink.
Once dry, adhere to the bottom right of your dotted
paper. |
|
Cut a strip of striped paper measuring
22.5cm by 2.2cm. Position across the bottom of your dotted
paper so that it overlaps your heart just below your chosen
word. Adhere a piece of brown striped ribbon across the middle
of your strip of striped paper.
|
|
Now adhere your dotted paper to your
background page. Angle it on the left side of your page on top
of the striped paper, as shown in the layout above.
|
|
Cut two small rectangles from your dotted
paper to make two tags. Make sure each one has a complete dot
towards one end. Round the corners of the rectangles (you may
like to use a corner rounder punch for this) and lightly ink the
edges with brown ink. Position them towards the bottom right of
your page so that one overlaps the other and the both overlap
your heart (see picture above for exact positioning). |
|
Punch a small heart from one of your light
coloured papers. Lightly ink the edges with brown ink and adhere
inside the spot of your right-hand tag. Finish off your page by
cutting two pieces of ribbon and attaching them to the tops of
your tags with a brown brad. |
