Companies like American Traditional Designs
co-ordinate their patterned papers to take the guess work out of
matching papers for you. Many even make coordinating
embellishments to make it easier for you to mix and match to
suit your needs. In this layout I show you how to take advantage
of their hard work and experience to quickly put an effective
layout together. |
|
Use the Gold Impression paper as your
background. Cut a strip of Ecru Brocade paper approximately 14cm
tall to go across the bottom of your page. Write or print your
journaling on your strip, keeping in mind where your photos will
end up. Once you are done, adhere your strip across the bottom
of your page. |
|
Adhere your border strip across your page, on
top of the join between the Gold Impression paper and the Ecru
Brocade paper. |
|
Select your feature photo and frame it first
with your Ecru Brocade frame and then your blue frame. Adhere on
the left of the page above your journaling (see above layout for
correct positioning). |
|
Adhere your second photo in place. It should
be to the right of your first photo and lower to give your page
a sense of balance. |
|
Finally, create your title. My title is
considerably long so I have used a combination of alphabet
stamps stamped with brown ink and Sandylion Heritage Alphabet
stickers. This may not suit your title so you may wish to employ
a different technique. Keep in mind this is a very clean-line
page, so clean-line fonts and neutral colours would work
well. |
