Stickers in themselves make a great addition
to any scrapbooking page but there is also so much you can do to
enhance them. The easiest way to dress up your stickers is to frame or
mat them, as you would a photo. You can also make your stickers more
three-dimensional by using products such as pop dots or
foam tape to attach your stickers to your layout. This
makes them stand out from the page.

|
The following layout uses Ting A Ling
Sparkles from Carolees Creations to jazz up the page. The glittery effect is perfect for
the Christmas theme. |
|
This layout was created using Green Holly paper
as the background, Red patterned paper, White cardstock, Green
Cardstock, Ting A Ling
Sparkles from Carolees Creations and Suzy's Zoo
Christmas Bears stickers. |
|
When recreating this page, begin by making
the border along the bottom of the page. Cut a strip of green
cardstock and adhere your candy canes. Tear a strip of red paper
slightly taller than your strip of cardstock and glue it along
the bottom edge of your background paper. Glue the cardstock on
top. Also tear a thin strip of red paper and glue to the top
edge of the page. |
|
Mat your photos with white cardstock and then
green cardstock. Remember to leave a little extra room around
your photos for the stickers. Glue your photos in place. |
|
Write your title on a small rectangle of
white cardstock and tear the edges. Matt it with red paper and
glue underneath your horizontal photo. Now all the basic
elements of your page are in place. Use your Suzy's Zoo
Christmas Bears to decorate the rest of the
page. |
|
Finally, use your Sparkles to enhance certain features on the stickers.
For example, I added glitter to the round candies in the border and the ribbons on
the gift and teddy bear stickers. This added dimension
and texture to the page and helped create that magical
Christmas feeling. |
|
Glitter is a great way to add a magical touch
to your layouts. It's perfect for Christmas pages, but can also
be used for other themes like flowers, snow and water. |
